The NordicWeave is a contemporary take on a classic Scandinavian form. Its seat and back are woven by hand from natural paper cord — a material that starts firm, then gradually moulds to the sitter, developing a subtle personal dip that no moulded plastic seat can imitate. After a year of daily dinners, this chair fits your family better than it did on day one.

The frame is solid white oak, steam-bent at the top rail so the Y-shaped back flows from the rear legs in a single line instead of meeting at a visible joint. That curve is not decorative: it places support exactly where the mid-back wants it while keeping the chair visually light, so a set of six does not crowd a modest dining room. The seat is wide enough for a long dinner and angled 3° backward, which quietly encourages you to sit back rather than perch at the edge of the table.

Paper cord is naturally breathable and warm to the touch — no cold shock on a winter morning, no sticky contact in summer. It is also remarkably strong: the same weave has been used in Danish seating for close to a century. The oak is finished with a clear, low-VOC hardwax oil that highlights the grain and can be refreshed at home with a cloth and a little oil, without stripping.
